The Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House make such a beautiful backdrop for a family photoshoot, particularly when you're visiting Sydney from overseas. Sai and his family wanted to capture some memories of their Australian holiday, so we met around Sydney Harbour for a relaxed family session.
With their two teenage children, we started amongst the greenery beside the harbour before making our way towards the Harbour Bridge. The kids were lovely to photograph, with such a kind and gentle energy. They enjoyed exploring the area, taking in the views and spending some time together as a family.
I love having a mix of more traditional family portraits alongside natural moments, and this session gave us plenty of both. We captured some lovely photographs with the Harbour Bridge in the background, as well as more relaxed images of the family walking and enjoying the harbour together.
From there, we made our way towards the Opera House. The soft morning light on the sails was beautiful, and it gave us another completely different backdrop for the family portraits. I love that around Sydney Harbour you can move between so many different views within the one session, so the final gallery doesn't feel like you've taken the same photograph over and over again.
By the end of the session, everyone was relaxed and we had captured a lovely collection of photographs that reflected their time together in Sydney.
